Latest Communications Innovation Improves Efficiency of Telephony Networks

The patent, "Dynamic Pattern Elimination Based Compression Method for Text-based Signaling Protocols" (U.S.P.T.O. # 8,090,394) covers an innovation that represents an improvement in the performance and efficiency of SIP (Session Initialization Protocol)-enabled telephony networks. SIP is an elemental communications signaling protocol used in VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) communications.
With this latest patent award, xG Technology's intellectual property portfolio now includes 60 U.S. patent matters (49 issued) and 137 international patent matters (64 issued). Internationally, Mexico comprises the largest share of patent awards, with 29 issued.
Mexico represents an important international market for xG's xMax solution. On April 11, 2014, the Company announced a Product Testing Agreement with Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The ability of xMax to operate in unlicensed spectrum that is widely available across the Americas makes it a compelling option for international deployments.
