XIOLINK Completes $2.3 Million System & Equipment Upgrades in Downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- St. Louis-based XIOLINK announced today the completion of phase two of its state-of-the-art datacenter.  As a leading provider of managed infrastructure, colocation and private cloud computing solutions, XIOLINK invested an additional $2.3 million in the infrastructure, power and cooling of its 1111 Olive datacenter, increasing the capacity by sixty percent.

Because of this upgrade and increased capacity, XIOLINK is expected to add 10 to 15 jobs within the next 12 to 18 months. XIOLINK has begun planning phase three of its expansion at 1111 Olive, which is expected to double the existing capacity from 25,000 square feet to 50,000 at this location. Arco Construction Company, Inc. handled the expansion and estimates between 50 and 60 local construction-related jobs were made possible by the project.

This phase of the build-out used cutting-edge green standards that XIOLINK initially established when the historic St. Louis Post-Dispatch printing press building was renovated in 2010.  The expansion incorporated as much green technology as possible without compromising reliability, security or technical capabilities. Some examples include the use of HVAC systems that use outside air when feasible, energy-efficient equipment and LED and lower-energy lighting solutions throughout the facility.
