XO Group Promotes Kristin Savilia To President, Local Marketplace

The marquee site for XO Group, The Knot, recently launched its mobile-first website to engage, match and connect brides to more than 250,000 local vendors across 30 categories, including venues, hotels, bands and DJs, photographers and more. The new site offers a personalized experience that sees couples through their entire wedding planning journey—from tailored real wedding photos and inspiration to a customizable checklist and tailored matches with local vendors. Each couple's dashboard, called "My Knot," serves a feed of relevant content, tools and solutions reflective of their stage in the wedding process and their style preferences. As they move through the site, there are multiple touch points where the couple can be matched and connected with the right local wedding vendor, at just the right time in their planning process.

Kristin Savilia joined XO Group in July 2005 and has had successful tenures leading several key XO Group businesses, including registry and commerce. Most recently, Savilia served as Executive Vice President of Local Enterprise from July 2010 to April 2015, during which she increased local sales revenue by more than 50 percent. Savilia has secured several strategic partnerships for XO Group and has also received top industry awards, including a min Top 21 Social Media Super Star. She is a board member of GigMasters.com, the leading event booking service connecting brides, moms and other party planners with relevant entertainers and vendors.
