Based off of October 2014 ordering data from all college town zip codes, the ecommerce giant announced that Tempe-based Arizona State University has claimed the title of Sexiest Halloween University after finishing second in last year's rankings.
"While it has the 9th largest undergraduate enrollment in the country, it's clear that Arizona State's ascension to the title of Sexiest Halloween University is driven by its well publicized party scene and the madhouse that is Tempe's Mill Avenue every Halloween," said Yandy Founder and CEO Chad Horstman.
Following Arizona State in the rankings is the 90007 zip code of University of Southern California, followed by Pullman, WA based Washington State University, last year's Sexiest Halloween University. "Despite falling from #1 to #3 in the rankings, another strong showing has validated last year's surprising results and confirmed that students at Washington State really do go all out for Halloween," said Hortsman.
After the top 3 of ASU, USC and WSU, the schools rounding out the top 10 Sexiest Halloween Universities in order were University of Arizona, Florida State University, University of Texas, San Diego State University, Penn State, UCLA and Texas State University. Falling just outside of the top 10 was New Orleans-based Tulane University, the highest finisher of any private university. "As we've found in years past, college towns with warmer weather generally embrace these more revealing Halloween costumes," said Horstman. "Penn State at #8 is one of the better showings we've seen from a cold weather climate."
