YardOutlet announces their #lightsforkids campaign
Christmas for kids, how will you help?
OGDEN, Utah, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- YardOutlet, the online Holiday Lighting company that also backs Seasonal Source, is announcing their #lightsforkids campaign today to provide Christmas lights to children with special needs this holiday season. The company is partnering with The Children's Center to bring Christmas cheer to children whose needs include autism, children suffering from severe trauma, and more. The Children's Center helps 2,000+ children every year.
The Challenge
For every order YardOutlet processes from now until Christmas they are donating Christmas lights to decorate children's rooms, common areas, and the outside of participating facilities. Causes like this are near and dear to the owner of YardOutlet, Derick Wright, who is also a member of the Ogden School Foundation. Says Derick, "I've always felt a desire to give back and have felt a lot of personal fulfillment over the years by doing so. With #lightsforkids we have the potential to touch the lives of thousands of children with special needs this Christmas. I'm excited to see where this goes this holiday season."
How can you help the cause? We all have lots of things on our list this holiday season. If Christmas lights is a purchase you anticipate making, make your purchase through YardOutlet and kickoff this wonderful season by giving. Once you make your purchase, talk about it on social media using #lightsforkids to build awareness. If you aren't planning on purchasing Christmas lights this year spread the news by tweeting, posting, or messaging friends by including the yardoutlet.com url along with the hashtag "lightsforkids".
