Yoozoo Pictures Partners with One Production to lead Lin Qi's Pan-Entertainment Strategy to Significant Victory

SHANGHAI, Sept. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lin Qi, founder and CEO of Youzu Interactive and Yoozoo Pictures, has recently signed Memorandum of Cooperation with Dong Junren, chairman of One Production Film Co. The two companies officially announced a comprehensive strategic cooperation by sharing high quality project resources and reserves. The cooperation between the companies includes but is not limited to film co-production, IP (intellectual property) operations and sharing actors and directors.

According to Lin Qi, the preliminary main purpose of establishing this collaboration with One Production Co. is to connect China and global market to share simple joy. "It's our key strategy to establish a Hollywood-style global film industry under the Internet ecosystem," Lin Qi explained, "introducing excellent Taiwanese films and novels is an effective method of improving the influence of Chinese film worldwide."

Since 2014, Lin Qi has been committed to developing pan entertainment for global customers, launching a global strategy with IP management programs and Hollywood film investment by the Bliss Fund. The first project of Youzu Interactive's U.S. branch is to invest in Mel Gibson's new production Hacksaw Ridge with Lions Gate Films this August and to have exclusive Chinese publishing rights.

Despite cooperation with other companies, Lin Qi also focuses on generating a link between games and film, among which science fiction has drawn the most attention. Youzu Interactive has acquired authorization of adaptation of the Hugo Award winner The Three Body Problem and has invested USD 200 million into the six-sequel movies. "We hope that the release of The Three Body Problem can change the current situation of Chinese science fiction films so that we can create a new type of Hollywood," Explained Lin Qi.

Recently, total box-office films that Yoozoo produced, promoted and published has reached USD 313.6 million and is expected to rise to USD 1.57 billion in 2017. Yoozoo is now producing nine films including China-U.S. co-production films like: Swimsuit Edition, League of Angels, King of Oriental and Chinese Horror Story.

In addition, Lin Qi believes product quality is the most important element. Thus unlimited cost for visual effects has been invested into the films. Youzu Interactive expands cooperation based on The Three Body Problem, actively seeking for partners for online, TV, mobile games, web games, animations, dramas and spin-off products. Lin Qi also sets up a fund to support the creation of science fiction novels, films and animations.
