Yosemite's Curry Village Offers a Hot Deal on Cold Nights
Curry Village offers rates as low as the temperature measured in Celsius for Yosemite tent cabin accommodations
YOSEMITE VILLAGE, Calif., Dec. 27, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Not too keen on the cold but like to save money? Adventurous and hardy travelers can save a bundle with the Celsius Special at Curry Village, where the rate for tent cabins reflects the previous night's low temperature measured in Celsius. And, if the weather gets cold enough, guests stay free! For example, if the previous night's low temperature is 32°F (0°C) or lower, guests will enjoy a complimentary stay in an unheated tent cabin surrounded by the world-famous scenery of Yosemite National Park.
Celsius Special:
- Unheated tent accommodations at Curry Village (Heated tent accommodations are available for an additional $25)
- The Celsius Special is offered for stays on January 7, 8, 21 and 22
- Reservations will be held with a deposit of $39
- The low temperature is determined based on the National Park Service (NPS) data collected at http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cgi-progs/queryF?YYV
For those who like the idea of the Celsius Special, but prefer the comfort of a heated tent cabin, Curry Village offers the All-U-Can-Heat version for a $25 upgrade. Guests will pay an initial deposit of $49 per night, which is adjusted the next day to match the previous night's low temperature plus $25. If the low temperature is 32°F (0°C), guests will pay only $25 plus tax for the heated tent cabin.
In addition to the Celsius Special, Curry Village features the Temp-RATE-ture deal, which features rates based on the previous night's low temperature measured in Fahrenheit. What happens if the low dips below 0°F? Curry Village will pay guests to stay! Temp-RATE-ture is valid for mid-week stays now through December 30, 2010. From January 7 through March 19, 2011, the deal is only available Friday and Saturday nights.
Yosemite offers travelers unsurpassed lodging deals in the winter and exciting adventures including skiing the slopes of Badger Pass, snowshoeing across the breathtaking Yosemite landscape or ice-skating with Half Dome as a backdrop.
The Celsius Special is subject to availability, may not be combined with other special rates or promotions, and requires advance reservations. For reservations and additional information, please call 801-559-4949, or visit www.YosemitePark.com.
