You Already Wrote it. Why Not Submit it?

NEW YORK, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The mission of Best College Essays is to celebrate and showcase the dreams, lives and stories of students about to embark on one of the most important journeys of their lives.  As it is now, the college essay gets sent to Admissions offices never to be seen again.  Best College Essays is a way to mark and honor this often overlooked rite of passage and to help other students see what is possible as they enter into the process themselves.

Best College Essays 2014 welcomes original college admissions essays written by high school students applying to college for the 2014-2015 academic year.

First prize winner will receive $1000 and featured publication in Best College Essays 2014. Two second prize winners will receive $500 each and featured publication.  Runners up will be published in Best College Essays 2014.  We expect to publish 200-250 original essays in this book.

Essays may be any length between 250-1000 words.

Please specify the prompt for your essay, the college to which it was or is being sent, the word count on this essay and provide a one to two sentence biographical statement about yourself including where you live, what high school you attend, what your process was in writing this essay and what your goals are in life.

All submissions confidential.  Contest deadline, February 1, 2014. Winners will be notified March 1, 2014 in time to let colleges know before admission's decisions are made.
