Young America Capital Announces Appointment of Thomas M. Kane, Senior Managing Director

NEW YORK, May 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Young America Capital LLC ("YAC") announced today that it has named Thomas M. Kane Senior Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking for Transportation and Energy. Mr. Kane brings over 35 years of experience. He has originated billions of dollars in shipping, aerospace, energy, technology and telecom projects over the course of his career. These projects include debt and equity capital raises, numerous purchase and sale-leasebacks, mergers and acquisitions and complex restructuring assignments. Prior to joining YA Capital Tom was a Managing Director at Chatsworth Securities where he led the Transportation and Energy Groups working on transactions between $25M to over $250M. Prior to Chatsworth Tom founded and was CEO of SSY Capital, the Investment Banking arm of Simpson, Spence & Young, the world's largest privately held shipbroker. During his first fiscal year, he built a global team, originated and closed over $400M of leases and loans for numerous maritime companies in the U.S. and EMEA. Tom's other notable career accomplishments include establishing the New York Office of Boeing Capital and heading Boeing's Maritime team. Additional assignments include sales and managerial positions at AT&T Capital and CIT.  Tom is a featured speaker at Industry conferences. He received his BA in Economics from The State University of New York. He holds FINRA licenses 63 and 82.
