LOS ANGELES, Aug. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Gaming App LINE PLAY has launched their first animated scripted series "Glam Squad" voiced by YouTube and Vine Sensation Meghan McCarthy. The three-episode series is now live on McCarthy's YouTube page, which has over 1.5 million subscribers to date.
Glam Squad follows McCarthy's avatar Megs through the three-episode series as she takes on pop culture topics in a humorous way. From online dating to a 'fash-off' with two of today's biggest stars, each episode highlights Megs in different scenarios within the LINE PLAY game. McCarthy worked directly with LINE PLAY to create, script and bring the game to life as a plan to extend the gaming app's digital footprint.
"When the opportunity to voice and star in the "Glam Squad" web series came along, I knew it would be a great fit," said McCarthy. "The series includes themes of dating, friends and fashion that everyone can relate to. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as I enjoyed recording it!"
Known for her recognizable voice and impressive impersonations, Meghan McCarthy has garnered an impressive following with over 1.7 billion loops on Vine, 3.5 million Vine followers and over 70 million views on YouTube.
"The LINE PLAY team had a wonderful time working with Meghan and knew she was a perfect fit for this animated scripted series. Meghan truly brought the game to life with her one and only unique voice," said Bryan Kim, Marketing Manager of LINE PLAY.
