New Pop-to-Light EDC Flashlight Features Wireless Charging, 150 Lumens, and Hands-Free Magnetic Base

LONDON, Oct. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- YSMART, the creators of cutting-edge everyday carry (EDC) gear, has just launched the MQ5X, their most advanced keychain flashlight to date. Now live on Kickstarter, MQ5X brings together powerful performance and compact design — packed into a sleek, pocket-friendly form that lights up the moment you need it.

Super small. Super bright. Snaps off your keychain and charges wirelessly.

MQ5X - Snap It. Light It. Charge It. Instantly.

Following the success of over eight previous flashlight campaigns and the support of 20,000+ backers worldwide, the MQ5X represents the next evolution in YSMART's magnetic quick-release series. It combines user-driven upgrades with everyday practicality, offering wireless charging, a magnetic hands-free base, and a brighter 150-lumen output (white light) — all in a flashlight small enough to live on your keychain.

"Our goal has always been to create EDC tools that are simple, functional, and satisfying to use," said the YSMART team. "With MQ5X, we've taken everything our backers loved — and made it even better."

Instant Light, No Buttons Required
At the heart of the MQ5X is YSMART's signature Pop-to-Light system. There are no buttons, switches, or twisting. The flashlight instantly turns on when detached from its magnetic keychain mount — giving users one-handed, on-demand light in seconds. It's designed for fast access in unexpected moments: from finding dropped keys in the dark to roadside emergencies or late-night walks.

Now Brighter, Longer Lasting, and Even Smaller
MQ5X introduces a new CREE XP-G4 LED, delivering up to 150 lumens of bright, focused white light. It's powered by an upgraded 10220 lithium-ion battery (130mAh), offering longer runtime and fast recharging in just 30 minutes.

Despite the enhanced power, MQ5X is the smallest rechargeable flashlight YSMART has ever built. By removing the traditional charging port and replacing it with a magnetic wireless charging dock, the company reduced overall size without compromising usability. The result: a flashlight that weighs just 16g in aluminium or 22g in titanium — disappearing on your keychain until you need it most.

Stick It Anywhere: Hands-Free Magnetic Base
In addition to the magnetic quick-release, MQ5X includes a strong magnetic base for hands-free use. Stick it to a car hood, toolbox, or metal tent pole and angle the beam exactly where it's needed — ideal for night-time repairs, camping setups, or power outages.

Style Meets Strength
MQ5X is available in four distinct finishes to match any EDC style:

Shadow Alu – Matte black aluminium. Light and low-key.
Stone Titan – Stonewashed titanium. Rugged and raw.
Mosaic Titan – Multicolour titanium. Loud and bright.
Azure Titan – Electric blue titanium. Bold and standout.

Backers can choose between three LED options (White, Red, or UV) depending on their use case — from general visibility to night vision or material inspection.

Now Live on Kickstarter
The MQ5X campaign is now live on Kickstarter with Early Bird discounts of up to 45% off. Backers can select from single units or bundle packs, with optional add-ons including deluxe titanium finish upgrades and extra docks. Worldwide shipping is available, with fulfillment expected to begin in early 2026.

YSMART invites EDC enthusiasts, gadget lovers, and everyday users to experience the future of pocket lighting with MQ5X — a flashlight that's tiny, tough, and ready for anything.
