Z Capital Group adds Operating Partner to oversee Human Resources and Talent Acquisition

NEW YORK, Dec. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Z Capital Group, L.L.C. ("Z Capital"), a leading alternative asset management firm with $2.2 billion in regulatory assets under management across complementary private equity and credit businesses, today announced it has appointed Steve Parsons as a Managing Director and Operating Partner focused on the development and implementation of human capital strategies among Z Capital's portfolio companies. He will also assist with due diligence on new acquisitions.

Mr. Parsons has more than 20 years of experience implementing human capital strategies and has held senior human resources positions at a range of companies, including OfficeMax, Rite Aid Corporation, Sears Holding Corporation and Whirlpool Corporation. Prior to joining Z Capital, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Stage Stores, Inc. From 2011 to 2013, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at OfficeMax, responsible for all aspects of HR for the company's global operations, including talent management, compensation and benefits, training, leadership development, recruitment, diversity, and internal and corporate communications. In addition, he co-led OfficeMax's integration with Office Depot, guiding all merger work streams in retail, contract, digital, supply chain, merchandising, marketing and corporate support functions. From 2008 to 2011, he served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Rite Aid Corporation.  Mr. Parsons has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University.
