Z Capital Names Claire Kendrick Managing Director and Head of Economic Research
LAKE FOREST, Ill., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Z Capital Partners, L.L.C., a private equity firm focused on investments in distressed businesses, today announced that Claire Kendrick has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Economic Research. Dr. Kendrick is responsible for transactions in the transportation, metal and mining, and paper and forestry industries, and provides insights to clients regarding financial market dynamics. Most recently she was a Principal at Hirtle, Callaghan & Co. where she was Director of Private Equity Investment and Portfolio Manager.

Prior to joining Hirtle in 2000, Dr. Kendrick was a Senior Vice President and the Director of Corporate Bond Research for Prudential Securities, Inc. She previously was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers and a Vice President at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. She has also served as a Senior Economist for Benjamin Schlesinger and Associates, Inc. On several occasions in Dr. Kendrick's career, she was a ranked analyst on Institutional Investor's All-American Fixed Income Research Team.
Dr. Kendrick received a Ph.D. in mineral economics from The Pennsylvania State University and also received a dual A.B. Degree in Geology and Economics from Wellesley College. She is a board member on the Finance Committee and Endowment Committee of Sewickley Academy, in Sewickley, PA; and a member of the global organization Alternative Perspectives on Finance and Accounting.
