CLEVELAND, Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ZEI announced today the release of a premium freeze conditioning product, ArcticREADY™ Extreme.  ArcticREADY™ Extreme was specifically developed for freeze conditioning to keep mining operations running at extreme sub-zero temperatures. During the winter months, untreated coal, aggregate and other mine resources can freeze together and can stick to railcars. Ultimately it can impact delivery schedules and increase downtime for plants.  ZEI for decades has provided freeze control solutions to answer the needs of industries.  While traditional glycol, salt and glycerin products are extremely effective, they tend to become problematic below -40 degrees C and eventually become either too viscous for effective use in extreme climate conditions.  The ArcticREADY™ Extreme product, however, is a formulation that overcomes the difficulties of working with other freeze conditioning agents in extreme climate conditions. 

Simply, ArcticREADY™ Extreme is a proprietary chemical that maintains low viscosity, almost half that of glycols, at extremely low temperatures – making it a superior product to work with.  In addition, the final freeze point of ArcticREADY™ Extreme is below that of glycols, salts and glycerin, without the corrosive properties of salt or the viscosity problems of glycerin at these operating temperatures. Best of all, ZEI is able to offer this product at a reduced cost as compared to current standard offering of glycols.
