Zenoss Announces Keynote for GalaxZ18: AWS Enterprise Strategist and Evangelist Mark Schwartz to Discuss Digital Transformation

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Zenoss Inc., the leader in Software-Defined IT Operations™, today announced Mark Schwartz, enterprise strategist and evangelist at Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), as a keynote speaker for GalaxZ18 — the fourth annual Zenoss user conference, to be held June 20-22, 2018, at the JW Marriott in the Live Monitoring Capital of the World, Austin, Texas.

Schwartz joined AWS in July 2017. In this role, he works with enterprise technology executives to share experiences and strategies for increasing speed and agility with the cloud while devoting more of their resources to their customers.

Schwartz has extensive experience as an IT leader in government, the private sector, and the nonprofit world, as well as with organizations ranging in size from small startups to enormous agencies. Prior to joining AWS, he was chief information officer (CIO) of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for the Department of Homeland Security. There, he led a large digital transformation effort — moving the agency to the cloud, introducing and refining DevOps and Agile techniques, and adopting user-centric design approaches.

He is the author of "The Art of Business Value and a Seat at the Table: IT Leadership in the Age of Agility" and speaks at conferences internationally on such subjects as DevOps, leading change, driving innovation in IT, and managing agility in bureaucratic organizations. He has been recognized as a Computerworld Premier IT Leader and received awards for Leadership in Technology Innovation, the Federal 100 IT Leaders, and a CIO Magazine 100 award. Schwartz holds both a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Yale University and an MBA from Wharton.
