The new team, comprised of Elliot Markowitz, Teresa Varela, Mike Uliss, and Nanci Oehrlein, will join Channel Insider Editor, and 19-year technology and channel writer, Jessica Davis to maximize the brand's ability to provide the best news, analysis, and research for IT solution providers. They will also be charged with delivering the innovative solutions IT marketers need to increase their profile within the channel market. These services include market intelligence, channel recruitment, and training/enablement programs to help vendors and their partners increase revenues and grow their businesses. This alignment will also help to leverage and integrate the audience, editorial, and service expertise from other Ziff Davis Enterprise brands such as eWEEK, Baseline and CIO Insight – something no other channel brand can offer.
On the sales side, the company has hired Teresa Varela as Strategic Account Director East Coast, Channel Sales and Mike Uliss has been retained to manage West Coast Channel Sales.
Varela is a seasoned sales executive with ongoing success at every level within the organization, bringing 16 years of channel experience working with vendors, distributors and resellers for indirect revenue growth among customers. Prior to joining Ziff Davis Enterprise, Varela spent 20 years at CMP (now UBM), including UBM's Everything Channel Events Group, selling and managing territories and teams for channel and CIO conferences, and collaborating with teams to execute on plans catering to both audiences and sponsors. Prior to that she held various other sales and channel related positions including District Manager for Computer Reseller News (CRN).
Uliss brings 13 years of media expertise to the company including many years of channel experience from CMP (now UBM), where he held various positions including Director of Sales East, Channel Group, Associate Publisher of CRN, and Publisher of VARBusiness Magazine, helping to drive more than $60 million in revenue.

Finally, Elliot Markowitz, Senior Vice President, Director of Content, and a seasoned channel expert, will be applying his 20 plus years of editorial experience, including his 10 years with CRN, to collaborate with Channel Insider Editor Jessica Davis, to deliver the news, analysis and research to meet the challenges and changing needs of IT solution providers.
