100forHeroes Campaign

The Veterans Training Empowerment Center (VTEC) is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit workforce development organization providing no‑cost, industry‑aligned training and guaranteed job placement for transitioning soldiers, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, military spouses, and immediate family members.

Created to close the gap between military service and civilian employment, VTEC delivers hands‑on technical training built around real employer demand in high‑growth sectors such as energy solutions, electric vehicle (EV) systems, skilled trades, smart infrastructure, automation, drones, and emerging technologies. Every program is developed in partnership with industry leaders and government stakeholders to ensure graduates are job‑ready on day one.

VTEC operates training programs on and near military installations, including its Army‑approved Career Skills Program (CSP) on Fort Benning Army Base. This CSP provides no‑cost training and direct job placement for service members from every branch of the military, as well as National Guard, Reserve, and their immediate family members—ensuring the entire military community has access to high‑quality career pathways before and after transition.

VTEC is expanding nationally through a growing network of base‑aligned training centers and strategic partners. The organization coordinates funding through grants, workforce programs, and philanthropic support so qualified participants never pay out of pocket for training, tools, or certifications.

**The 100forHeroes Campaign & the Revitalization of Fort Gillem**

To meet surging national demand for skilled military talent, VTEC launched the **100forHeroes Campaign**, a national effort to **purchase and revitalize the historic Fort Gillem Army Base**. This campaign will transform Fort Gillem into America’s first fully centralized **training, credentialing, and hiring campus** for transitioning soldiers, veterans, military spouses, and their families.

The revitalized Fort Gillem campus will:

- Restore and repurpose historic Army buildings into modern training, innovation, and family‑support facilities
- Serve as a national hiring hub where employers can connect with military‑trained talent through one coordinated system
- Provide free, no‑cost training and guaranteed job placement for 10,000+ military‑connected learners annually
- Create more than 200 permanent jobs for veterans operating and supporting campus programs
- Offer family‑centered services, youth leadership pathways, and community engagement spaces
- Anchor a long‑term economic revitalization strategy for the region while preserving military heritage

Through 100forHeroes, VTEC aims to unite **1 million supporters** to raise **$100 million** to secure the campus, restore its historic structures, and expand no‑cost training and hiring pipelines nationwide.

VTEC’s mission is clear and unwavering: **military service should lead to a guaranteed, high‑quality civilian career—and military families deserve access to the same opportunity.**
