IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Alteryx, Inc., the leader in data blending and advanced analytics, today announced that through its partnership with Tableau, a global leader in rapid-fire, easy-to-use business analytics software, Alteryx will release the ability to directly publish and update Tableau Data Extract (TDE) files to Tableau Server and Tableau Online. With a single click, Alteryx is delivering a simpler way for analysts to scale their use of Tableau by automating the creation of TDE files to ensure every user of Tableau visualizations has the most up-to-date data available. This new capability will be available in Q4 of 2015.
"We know that more and more Tableau users are expanding the value they produce by using Tableau Server or Tableau Online to distribute their visualizations to decision makers," said Paul Ross, vice president of partner marketing at Alteryx. "The ability to create and update the perfect analytical data set and deploy it directly to where it's needed means that analysts save time and can scale their efforts even further."
When faced with an overwhelming amount of data and requests for new visualizations or dashboards, analysts have been forced to constantly update data files using slow processes that could take weeks. Now analysts can scale their use of Tableau by automating the update of TDE files used to drive what could be hundreds or even thousands of visualizations. These benefits are available whether organizations deploy Tableau Server within their infrastructure or take advantage of Tableau online.
Alteryx also announced that it has added over 150 joint Tableau customers in the first half of 2015, increasing the total number of joint customers to over 400. This growth is driven by the combination of joint sales engagements with Tableau and with the over 70 Tableau partners who are now part of the Alteryx Partner Program.
Alteryx will be a Yottabyte sponsor at the Tableau Conference 2015 in Las Vegas on October 19-23. Attendees will hear from a number of joint customers such as easyJet, Werner Enterprises, The Home Depot, and Carlson Rezidor that have gained deeper business insight in hours instead of weeks through the combination of Alteryx and Tableau. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit the Alteryx Data Guru Bar at booth #331 to optimize their data blending processes in preparation for the new visual analytics they will be creating during and after the show.
At the conference, Alteryx will distribute a new version of its free Visual Analytics Kit for Tableau to help Tableau users get started with Alteryx. It contains key analytic applications, visualizations and tutorial information for using Alteryx and Tableau together. The kit will include contributions from joint partners such as AEBS, BIPB, DataBlick, DecisionViz, Decisive Data, InterWorks, Inviso and USEReady. Following the conference, other users may learn more and download the Alteryx Visual Analytics Kit for Tableau at www.alteryx.com/kit.
