"ATA is proud to participate in this wonderful annual event," said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. "For nearly a decade our members and drivers have helped deliver wreaths to ensure that during the holidays, we remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country."
ATA, along with over 100 motor carriers, are delivering more than 500,000 wreaths to over 900 veterans' cemeteries and locations nationwide.
"Our nation's fallen servicemen and women gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and Mack is honored that our truck transports these wreaths to help signify our gratitude," said John Walsh, Mack vice president of marketing.
The convoy from Maine is expected to arrive at Arlington National Cemetery at 8:30 AM on December 14. ATA staff and other volunteers will join military members, Boy Scouts and various service organizations in unloading and laying wreaths on the graves of America's heroes.
"It is truly an honor to be part of the Wreaths Across America convoy to Arlington Cemetery," said Eddie Hosegood, a professional driver with Publix Supermarkets. "The number of professional truck drivers, trucking companies and volunteers who joined together to honor our fallen soldiers is touching. This is a very rewarding way to start the holiday season."
Professional truck drivers are available for interviews.
