Cargo Transporters, Inc. is a trucking operation based in Claremont, North Carolina.  The carrier specializes in truckload dry van freight with an emphasis on long-term contracts with shippers, as well as servicing those customers who require time-definite or just-in-time service.  Founded in 1982, the company has 395 power units and 1,400 trailers.

In September, the company became the second nationwide carrier to adopt Qualcomm's Mobile Computing Platform 200 Series (MCP200) for their fleet.  Cargo Transporters has invested heavily in safety technologies and has operated with the entire fleet using electronic hours of service data recorders since December 2008.
