- Shoppers will be able to participate in the "Snap and Snack" promotion, which offers a special discount when a photo of a game day snack is uploaded.

DALLAS, Oct. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- When it comes to game day watch parties, guacamole will always be the true MVP. For the third season in a row, Avocados From Mexico®, the number-one selling avocado brand in the U.S., is partnering with the College Football Playoff (CFP) as the Official Avocado Brand of the CFP. The "Always a Good Play" campaign will once again bring shoppers exclusive savings, as well as the chance to score tickets to the brand's coveted Guac Box at the 2026 national championship game!
More than 1,600 games are played throughout the college football season, leaving plenty of time for consumers to shop for their favorite flavors. And, with a third of football fans naming guac as their top game day snack1, avocados are an essential when it comes to party prep.
"Just like the sport of football brings people together, we know a big bowl of guacamole can have the same effect," said Alvaro Luque, Avocados From Mexico President and CEO. "By extending our ongoing partnership with the College Football Playoff, we're not just bringing fresh, high-quality avocados to the table — we're solidifying our place in game day celebrations everywhere, no matter who you're rooting for."
The 182 million people who identify themselves as passionate college football fans2 can expect big time wins this season, including the opportunity to "Snap and Snack" — a promotion that gives $2 off four avocados when someone uploads a photo of a typical game day snack either in store or at home from November 3 to January 19. When fans upload a photo of their receipt to show proof of purchase, Avocados From Mexico will automatically enter them in a sweepstakes that could send them to the 2026 College Football Playoff National Championship. Those chosen will get to experience the ultimate watch party live from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, in the brand's Guac Box suite.
"College football fans bring an unmatched energy that deserves the right kind of fuel," said Ryan Allen Hall, Senior Director of Public Events and Sponsorships for the College Football Playoff. "Our partnership with Avocados From Mexico is a natural fit, making it easier for people to enjoy their favorite sport — and their favorite snack — together."
With the goal of leveraging existing consumer behavior to take shoppers from the snack aisle to the produce aisle, this concept is meant to celebrate how guacamole and snacks are an unbeatable game day dream team. In fact, between November and February, fans are taking 1.6 billion trips to the snack aisle3 — putting into perspective just how essential quality ingredients are to game day traditions.
Retailers will also be able to secure their own in-store snack aisle signage, as well as themed packaging that embodies the excitement of football season.
