Award-Winning Actress Susan Lucci and Husband Launch Pledge to Educate About Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke

Atrial fibrillation is a potentially serious condition where the heart does not beat the way it should, which can result in the formation of blood clots.(1) These blood clots can travel from the heart to the brain, where they can lead to a stroke.(1) Strokes associated with AFib can be about twice as likely to be fatal(4) or severely disabling as other types of stroke.(5) But, the good news is this risk can be significantly reduced.(6)
