Bateman Group Expands Senior Management Team; Strengthens East Coast Presence

SAN FRANCISCO and NEW YORK, July 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Bateman Group, an integrated public relations and social media communications firm, today announced that industry veteran Elissa Ehrlich has joined the agency as an account director based out of the Brooklyn office. Elissa brings to Bateman Group more than ten years of experience in the public relations industry with a focus on both business-to-business and consumer technology accounts.

Elissa will work closely with Tyler Perry, vice president, in Bateman Group's New York City offices in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Park Slope announced on April 19th. She will oversee strategic communications programs for current clients such as Recyclebank, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions based in New York City; and CoreMedia, a leading web content management company with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany. As an account director, Elissa also joins the agency's senior management team and will help drive marketing and new business initiatives for the agency.

Elissa joins Bateman Group from New York City-based technology specialist Affect, where she oversaw strategy and execution of public relations and social media programs for multiple companies, including Kony, a mobile application platform; Bug Labs, an open source device innovation platform; and Regus, a global provider of flexible workplace solutions. Prior to Affect, Elissa was with Bite Communications, where she raised the profile of Chinese handset and infrastructure manufacturer ZTE in the U.S. market; oversaw corporate and product PR and social media for Internet phone service provider Vonage; and managed PR for several divisions of Sun Microsystems (now Oracle). Earlier in her career, Elissa held account management positions at technology specialists FitzGerald Communications (merged with Fleishman-Hillard in 2002) and Fusion Public Relations.
