Casio Supports Women In Music At The 12th Annual ASCAP 'I Create Music' EXPO

LOS ANGELES, April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Casio America, Inc., a leading innovator of electronic musical instruments, is thrilled to announce that it will be taking part in the 12^th annual ASCAP 'I Create Music' EXPO, the premier national conference for songwriters, composers, artists, producers and music business leaders. As part of its participation, Casio will sponsor the special "She Rocks Showcase" and have a wide selection of electronic musical instruments, including its CGP-700, GP-500 and MZ-X500, on display at the EXPO from April 13-15, 2017, at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles, CA.

The 2017 "She Rocks Showcase", hosted by the Women's International Music Network (WiMN) and sponsored by Casio, is part of WiMN's ongoing efforts to provide women in the industry with a platform to showcase their music. The event is a unique opportunity for female artists to perform in front of industry experts, media representatives, artists, publishers and more. This year's performers include singer-songwriter Candace Wakefield, alternative rock band High Love, singers CROWN and Kate Mills, and soul/indie duo Trackless.

MZ-X500 Music Arranger Keyboard – With an inspiring set of over 1,000 instrument tones, hundreds of rhythms and a 17-track song sequencer, the MZ-X500 allows songwriters to compose with ease. Sixteen backlit, touch-sensitive pads enable artists to trigger musical phrases, chord progressions and audio samples while the keyboard is free to play other instrument tones. To capture moments of pure inspiration, the MZ-X500 also provides USB audio recording, which can record vocals and other instruments utilizing the mic and line inputs. The MZ-X500 also has built-in speakers driven by dual 20-watt amplifiers that deliver a big, powerful sound.
