Centers Celebrates Target: BP™ During Heart Month; Hosts Jumping Jacks Challenge Across Facilities

The organization has received the prestigious Target: BP™ Gold+ and Gold awards for its exemplary efforts in blood pressure control and stroke risk reduction. Notably, Centers Health Care is the only skilled nursing care system in New York to earn this recognition.

The Target: BP™ program, a joint initiative of the American Heart Association and the American Medical Association, acknowledges health care providers who demonstrate dedication to following the latest evidence-based guidelines in cardiovascular care. This recognition underscores Centers Health Care's commitment to delivering high-quality, science-driven care to its residents.

In a remarkable achievement, as a whole, 21 of the 22 nursing homes on the list are part of Centers Health Care, and all of them have achieved either Gold+ or Gold status. The Gold+ recognition, the highest level achievable, demonstrates that these recognized Centers Health Care facilities not only met but exceeded the program's rigorous standards for blood pressure management. This recognition highlights the organization's consistent approach to cardiovascular health management across its network.

Whoever completes the most jumping jacks will receive a prize, but all participants will reap the benefits of this aerobic exercise including improved cardiovascular health, bone density, and coordination.
