Charlie Health Launches Virtual Program for Primary Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Building on years of experience supporting clients with co-occurring substance use and mental health conditions, the program formalizes and expands Charlie Health's proven virtual intensive treatment model to serve teens and adults whose primary need is SUD care—delivering personalized support, specialized clinical expertise, and fully integrated, measurement-based treatment.

The virtual SUD program offers multiple weekly sessions, including groups, individual therapy, family therapy, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Clients are placed in curated peer cohorts and matched with a dedicated care team, ensuring clinically aligned support throughout treatment. MAT—including buprenorphine or naltrexone—is delivered as part of a coordinated care plan to ensure treatment aligns with progress.

All services are delivered virtually, allowing clients to stay engaged with school, work, and family while receiving consistent support.

The launch comes in response to a widespread need: more than 46 million Americans struggle with substance use disorders, yet only six percent receive treatment each year, according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
