The property, which is located at 170 E. Main Street, dates back to 1927. In 2010 it was purchased by Bill and Farron Smith of Smith Enterprises and redesigned in homage to Wytheville's most prominent citizen, Edith Bolling Wilson, wife to President Woodrow Wilson. Edith Bolling Wilson's childhood home was across the street from where the hotel stands today.
The 30-room, 4 floor hotel features different decor themes on each level based on Mrs. Wilson's interests and passions. Guest rooms are designed and decorated around her love of orchids, canaries and fine bourbons.
Guests can choose from eight spacious room types – Junior Suite, Double Accessible, Queen Standard, Queen Deluxe, King Deluxe, King Parlor, King Accessible and King Standard. The elegant George Wythe Ballroom features high coffered ceilings, historic terrazzo tile floors, large windows and French doors.
