Church of the Highlands Oxford Campus to Celebrate Opening of New Facility on August 30

New 44,333 square foot facility will provide expanded opportunities for worship, connection, and community impact

OXFORD, Ala., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Church of the Highlands will celebrate the opening of its new Oxford Campus facility on Sunday, August 30, marking a significant milestone in the church's ongoing investment in Oxford and the surrounding region.

Located at 1601 Leon Smith Parkway, the new 44,333-square-foot facility includes a 1,200-seat auditorium and age-specific children's spaces. The building also provides a dedicated space for the launch of Highlands Haven, the church's special needs ministry, at the Oxford Campus for the first time. This creates additional opportunities for families to gather and worship in community.

The Oxford Campus launched in February 2018 and has continued to grow over the past eight years. Led by Campus Pastor David Williams, it has become an important part of Oxford and the surrounding area. Construction was completed in late July, and the new facility reflects the church's continued investment in the people who call Church of the Highlands home and are looking for a place to belong.

The Oxford Campus will celebrate the opening during services at 8:00 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Everyone is invited to join us for worship, a Bible-based message, and opportunities to build community.

Church of the Highlands began in 2001 and has grown to multiple locations across Alabama and Georgia. The new Oxford Campus facility is part of that continued growth, meeting people where they are in their faith journey.
