Crackle and FEARnet Sign On as Digital Media Partner for "Butterfinger the 13th" Movie

GLENDALE, Calif., June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- BUTTERFINGER® the 13th, the first-ever film created and produced by one of America's iconic candy brands, today announced its media partnership with Crackle, Sony Pictures Television's multi-platform video entertainment network, and FEARnet, the world's premiere destination for horror, thriller and suspense. Directed by Rob Lowe, actor, producer, and New York Times best-selling author, "Butterfinger the 13th" is set to make movie-making history this summer and will bring to life Butterfinger's "Nobody's Gonna Lay A Finger" tagline. The video is the first of a series of exclusive online confessionals by Lowe and available only for Butterfinger Facebook fans. Each week, Butterfinger's Facebook page will feature information about the comedy-horror currently in production, with new online content and video vignettes released twice weekly, including special content on the 13th of each month.

As the exclusive digital media partner for "Butterfinger the 13th," Crackle and FEARnet will distribute "Butterfinger the 13th" to a wider audience after the movie's official online release on Facebook on October 13.
