DAZN STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP TEAM TO ACCELERATE PROFITABLE GROWTH

• Patrick Delany appointed Chief Operating Officer to accelerate subscriber and revenue growth and drive tight integration across DAZN's divisions.

LONDON, Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- DAZN, the world's leading sports entertainment platform, today announced three appointments to further strengthen its executive leadership team and drive the group's next phase of profitable growth. All three leaders report to Shay Segev, Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

The appointments come in a pivotal year for DAZN, with the company building on strong momentum achieved in 2025 during which it acquired Foxtel Group, delivered the FIFA Club World Cup watched by hundreds of millions of fans globally, and reached profitability for the first time. In 2026, DAZN has continued to scale, announcing acquisitions of ViewLift and EverPass to extend its platform capabilities and rights relationships, renewing premium rights in core markets, adding FIFA+ to the DAZN platform, and most recently, rapidly building out a regional sports business in the US. All three appointments will strengthen DAZN's leadership team as it looks ahead.

Patrick Delany is appointed Chief Operating Officer, based in London. He will have end-to-end responsibility for the day-to-day trading performance of DAZN, driving subscriber and revenue growth across the company. He will oversee the running of DAZN's operational businesses, pricing and packaging, rights renewals and rights-holder relationships, content production and execution, and advertising and sponsorship.

Delany brings more than three decades of experience across sports, media and digital subscription businesses. As CEO of Foxtel Group since 2018, and previously CEO of Fox Sports Australia, he led the transformation of one of Australia's largest media businesses, including the launch and growth of Kayo Sports and BINGE. Most recently, following its acquisition by DAZN, Delany led the successful integration of Foxtel into DAZN, creating DAZN Australia, a company with products used in one of every two Australian homes. 

Alex Gersh will join DAZN as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Darren Waterman. Gersh brings more than 25 years of international financial leadership across sectors including sports, betting, technology and telecoms at both private and publicly listed companies.

At Sportradar, as CFO, he led the company through its successful NASDAQ listing. Prior to that he was CFO of Betfair and subsequently Paddy Power Betfair following their merger. With deep experience in high-growth digital businesses, public markets and large-scale integration, Gersh will further strengthen DAZN's financial strategy, capital allocation, performance, and long-term value creation.

Darren Waterman is appointed to the new role of Chief Business Officer spearheading strategic commercial, partnership, and transformational opportunities for the group. As DAZN's Chief Financial Officer since 2022, Waterman has led DAZN's Finance function and the group's commercial and corporate development through a period of exceptional growth, with the company reaching profitability in 2025 setting a solid foundation for its next chapter.

DAZN also confirmed that Alice Mascia, after four successful years as CEO in the DACH region, has decided to leave DAZN at the end of year. Felix Krause returns to DAZN with immediate effect as Deputy CEO, DACH and will become CEO, DACH on 1 January 2027.
