E-J Electric Installation Co. Expands Bayonne Energy Center To Provide Power To Half A Million New Yorkers

NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- E-J Electric Installation Co. (E-J Electric) is in the process of expanding the Bayonne Energy Center's electrical capacity. This expansion will help meet the electricity needs of over 500,000 New York City homes and businesses through an underwater transmission cable. With this project, E-J Electric is growing its Power Construction Services in New Jersey and it is the fourth power generation project in the area.

Power Generation Plant Methods
The range of services provided by the E-J Electric team include installation of two Siemen's 64 MW Gas Turbine Generators, Medium Voltage Cable Bus, Medium and Low Voltage Feeders and Control and Instrumentation Cabling. Additionally, E-J Electric is completing site lighting, heat tracing, fire alarm, and a plant wide grounding grid as part of the turn-key expansion at the Bayonne Energy Center. The project consists of over 100,000 feet of multi-conductor power cable installations, over 2,000 feet of cable tray and close to 22,000 feet of conduit.
