Ensono solution brings immediate post-migration business flexibility to Guardian's fully managed infrastructure
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Dec. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ensono™, a leading hybrid IT services provider, was selected by Guardian Life, one of the nation's largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of employee benefits, to direct the organization's transition to remote mainframe management.
As a key part of their overall datacenter and workplace strategy, Guardian Life needed a partner to supply cost-effective solutions while providing robust IT management capabilities. Through Ensono's remote management solution, Guardian Life is able to retain ownership while still receiving technical and operational support from Ensono's mainframe staff, allowing Guardian the flexibility needed during this transitional time.

A two-step migration process was developed in order to undertake the complex transition. Phase one included implementing Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) to support Guardian Life's current environment and initiating the transition to a fully managed solution. In the second phase, Ensono worked with Guardian to establish a fully managed solution at their data center, and deploy new equipment and tools.
Immediately following the migration, Guardian Life experienced infrastructure and operational stability, as well as increased performance for their critical batch processing. Due to the success of the transition, Guardian Life named Ensono "Rookie Supplier of the year," at its Second Annual IT&SS Supplier Summit. This award, which was one of four supplier excellence awards given at the summit, was based on Ensono's completion of the most complex migration in the organization's history in under four months with high impact results. Guardian's Vendor Management Program provides transparency to Guardian's strategic priorities and objectives through structured governance, yielding greater collaboration, innovative solutions and improved performance.
