Ensono™ Secures Contract Renewal from RR Donnelley Entities

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ensono, a leading provider of hybrid IT services, today announced it has secured three individual agreements with multi-channel communications management company RR Donnelley, and its spin-off companies, LSC Communications and Donnelley Financial Solutions. Ensono has provided IT services to RR Donnelley for 15 years and will continue its services for the three companies. The agreements provide a flexible approach for delivering IT services as each new company will have unique IT and business requirements. By utilizing Ensono to operate, support and maintain their critical infrastructure, the new companies can focus on their core business strengths with new business strategies.

Early in the relationship, Ensono was tapped to help support RR Donnelley's mainframe in order to lower costs and focus IT resources on business growth. As the company continued to grow via acquisitions, it required additional support for a range of platforms and infrastructure consolidation. RR Donnelley was able to transfer key IT infrastructure responsibilities to Ensono, in turn containing costs, implementing strong IT management disciplines across its operating environment and creating contractual flexibility to grow and leverage new technologies.

In August 2015, RR Donnelley announced its decision to split into three separate, publicly traded companies. Over the past 12 months, the RR Donnelley and Ensono teams have worked side-by-side to plan, build and prepare for the eventual separation. To date the project has generated many new infrastructure builds including 2,000 new databases with 500 new terabytes of data storage and 250 new network devices. The project has also included the migration of more than 150 mission critical business systems to the new company technical environments.
