RALEIGH, N.C., Oct. 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Building on the success of last season's initiative, which generated nearly $27,000 for the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation, First Bank is strengthening its commitment to the Carolinas by extending its partnership with and sponsorship of the Carolina Hurricanes for an additional three years.
Through the Good Goals program, First Bank will once again donate $100 to the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation for each Canes goal scored during regular season play from now through the 2027-28 season. The Bank's donation gives fans an extra reason to cheer for every Good Goal and to celebrate the community impact in the arena or while watching the matchups on television. Additionally, for those Caniacs attending home games, there will be a number of t-shirt tosses sponsored by First Bank as part of the program.
"This continued partnership with the Carolina Hurricanes is right in line with First Bank's mission to be the best bank in every community we serve and to build relationships that matter," said Adam Currie, First Bank's CEO. "Like me, First Bank associates throughout North and South Carolina are proud of this partnership and are excited to cheer on the Canes while giving back to the communities and families helped by the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation."
"We're incredibly grateful to First Bank for continuing this special partnership," said Amy Daniels, Executive Director of the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. "The Good Goals program turns every goal into something bigger than the game—it's a celebration of community and a reminder of how much we can accomplish together. These donations help us reach more kids and families across North Carolina, and we couldn't do it without supporters like First Bank."

The Good Goals program, and First Bank's ongoing sponsorship of the Steven Tanger Center's Broadway Series in Greensboro, North Carolina, speak to the bank's deep commitment to being a part of the economic development and health of the Carolinas. This year, the Bank was also recognized by BCI, receiving the Most Effective Recovery Award in the Americas because of its swift response to Hurricane Helene and its comprehensive support of the bank's employees, customers, and communities throughout Western North Carolina. First Bank is now a finalist in BCI's global awards consideration, with winners announced in mid-November 2025.
