
FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company Names Rick Fili Director of Site Engineering at Perry Nuclear Power Plant
AKRON, Ohio, Aug. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC), a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE – FE), has named Rick Fili director of Site Engineering at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio. In this position, he is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the engineering activities and projects performed at the Perry Plant that support safe and reliable operations.

With more than 25 years' experience in the nuclear industry, Fili most recently served as Technical Services engineering manager at the Perry Plant. He joined the company in 2007 from the Cooper Nuclear Station in Nebraska, where he served as manager of Systems Engineering. In addition, Fili's previous experience includes several management positions within Engineering and Quality Assurance at Waterford Steam Electric Station in Louisiana as well as Engineering supervisory positions at the Grand Gulf Nuclear Generating Station in Mississippi and the River Bend Nuclear Generating Station in Louisiana.

Fili holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn. He also earned a Senior Reactor Operator certification at Grand Gulf.
