According to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) excluding skin cancer, breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer among U.S. women, accounting for more than 1-in-4 cancers diagnosed.
This October, through its fleet of Lady Foot Locker stores and e-commerce site (Ladyfootlocker.com), Foot Locker, Inc. offers exclusive products, inspired by the pink ribbon, with a portion of the sales benefiting the American Cancer Society.
In Lady Foot Locker stores and on Ladyfootlocker.com, customers can find new styles of limited-edition tops with original graphics and artwork. Long-sleeve thermal shirts and long-sleeve tees will be sold for $18 each. A pullover, fleece hooded sweatshirt with the graphic "PEACE LOVE CURE," is available at $30. A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of each of the limited-edition Lady Foot Locker products goes directly to the American Cancer Society. Also available is a $1 donation card that can be added onto any purchase (or purchased on its own), with all of the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society.
"The most important thing is getting the word out, and we're doing exactly that through our partnership with the American Cancer Society," says Stacy Cunningham, CVP, Marketing, Foot Locker, Inc. "From our exciting pink product assortment, to encouraging participation in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events, to providing our associates with a platform to get involved and raise awareness, we are proud to take part in the important mission of improving the lives of millions of people afflicted or touched by breast cancer."
Foot Locker and Champs Sports stores will air a public service announcement from the American Cancer Society throughout the month of October. Sharing the PSA will assist in the Society's efforts to save lives and create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.
