Florida students excel in Cambridge exams, expanding access to college-level credit earning opportunities in high school
NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The International Education group at Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge) today announced that a record number of Florida students have received prestigious awards for outstanding performance in the June 2024 Cambridge exam series. These awards, which include Top in the World and Top in the U.S., celebrate the success of Florida students taking Cambridge Pre-Advanced (IGCSE) and college-level Cambridge Advanced (International AS & A Level) exams.
Beyond demonstrating advanced academic achievement, these exam results provide significant benefits to Florida students and families, offering opportunities for college credit, scholarships, and academic recognition. Through the Bright Futures Scholarship, Florida students who complete the Cambridge AICE Diploma and required service hours automatically qualify for free tuition at Florida state colleges.

Student Achievements
Florida students from districts including Alachua County Public Schools, Broward County Public Schools, Clay County District Schools, and St. Johns County School District, performed exceptionally well on the June 2024 exam series:
- Four students were awarded Top in the World for Thinking Skills, French Language, English General Paper, and English Language.
- Across the state, students earned 28 Top in the US awards for subjects including Global Perspectives & Research, Computer Science, Marine Science, and Travel & Tourism.
- Nearly 4,000 additional honors were awarded to students, including for High Achievement, Best Across Three, and Distinction and Merit Scholar Awards.
