Hughes to Address 2012 Army Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop

Charles (Chuck) Cynamon (Ret.), senior director for the Defense and Intelligence Systems Division (DISD), will participate in a panel discussion at the Satellite Industry Association (SIA) 2012 Army Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop.  Taking place August 13, 2012, the session, "Defining and Delivering an Affordable Resilient SATCOM Architecture," will feature government and industry leaders.  The Army Commercial SATCOM Users Workshop will be held at TechNet Land Forces East.

The panel will explore how resilience is defined and what standards should be used to determine satellite network architectures' resiliency, as well as how the public and private sectors can work together to deliver resilient networks that meet the current budget needs of the U.S. Army and its military and government partners.  The panelists will also address best strategies to deliver end-to-end communications systems and future interoperability capabilities.
