Ikonopedia Introduces Resolution Manager and Pathology Reporting Tools at RSNA

CHICAGO, Nov. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Ikonopedia will introduce an automated, closed loop resolution manager with integrated pathology reporting capabilities at the 104th Annual Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting, November 25-30, 2018. Ikonopedia will demonstrate its complete suite of structured reporting tools at RSNA (North Hall #7910).

Ikonopedia has recently initiated and completed installations across a broad range of breast imaging practices and large radiology groups.  Recent sales and installations include such sites as Sinai Health System in Chicago, Diagnostic Clinic of Longview in Texas, Invision Diagnostics in Florida and North Carolina, Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska, and Maui Medical in Hawaii.  The company's structured breast reporting and risk assessment tools have also been installed in a few breast imaging locations within the Mount Sinai Health Center in New York, such as the Center for Advanced Medicine, Radiology Associates West and the Mobile Mammography Van.

In addition to expanding its footprint, Ikonopedia has experienced a significant increase in exam volume, growing from an average of 6,000 per month in Q4 2017 to more than 18,000 exams per month in 2018.

The new Resolution Manager resolves pathology results with the associated BI-RADS 4 or 5 diagnostic exams. Built on modern technology, Ikonopedia employs a closed-loop follow-up system to make sure that patient findings do not get lost in the shuffle of a busy clinic. For example, Resolution manager can also resolve non-compliant patient status in instances where the patient fails to return. Ikonopedia Analytics provides a detailed summary for resolved BI-RADS 4 and 5 exams as well as unresolved exams and pathology results can be automatically added to the clinical report. In addition, one or more pathology specimens can be linked to each specific location identified in the corresponding biopsy or imaging exam. This closes the loop at the patient level as well as for each individual lesion. Ikonopedia pathology data is up-to-date with the TNM staging amendments by the January 2018 8th Edition of the staging classifications for breast tumors by The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC).

Ikonopedia will also showcase the updated breast biopsy reporting tool, which accommodates all FDA-approved tracking and localization modalities and markers, including Magseed, Savi Scout, I-125 Seed, and Localizer from Faxitron.
