~ AirAsia, Changi Airport and Garuda Indonesia among companies honoured
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, April 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --HW LIMA together with Knowledge Partner Frost & Sullivan honoured and recognized 6 outstanding achievers in the ASEAN commercial aviation sector at the LIMA 2013 ASEAN Commercial Aviation Awards on March 28, 2013.
With growth averaging 6 percent per annum and volume of movement more than doubling in the next 15 years, South East Asia is widely recognized as one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world. This growth has resulted in a wide range of current or planned investments in all sectors of the industry by governments, airlines and aviation companies.
The ASEAN Commercial Aviation Awards aims to recognize, reward and celebrate extraordinary achievements by members of the ASEAN commercial aviation community for the year 2012. The awards also aim to capture the spirit of leadership and innovation that inspire significant, broad-reaching progress in aviation.
"We are extremely proud and happy to host the inaugural ASEAN Commercial Aviation awards which celebrate the best practices of participants in the industry. I am confident that this awards banquet will continue to be the most anticipated event of the year by the commercial aviation community," said Mr. Ahmad Dzuhri Abdul Wahab, Managing Director of HW LIMA.
Mr. Chris de Lavigne, Global Vice President of Consulting, Frost & Sullivan said that the Awards seek to recognize outstanding industry achievements in the past year of 2012 by companies in the Airline, Airport and MRO industry segments in the regional ASEAN market.
"Award recipients for the LIMA 2013 ASEAN Commercial Aviation Awards were identified based on an in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research conducted by Frost & Sullivan's analysts. Companies are typically studied on their market leadership, marketing strategy, business development strategy, customer service and business growth strategy," Mr. de Lavigne added.
The findings of the detailed evaluation will then be presented to a panel of independent judges which consists of key industry personnel from governmental aerospace related organizations, to decide the recipient for each category.
