The company is on high alert and line and substation workers, storm analysts, hazard responders, dispatchers, forestry crews and support personnel are prepared to respond should power outages occur.

Customers are reminded to immediately report downed wires to JCP&L or local police or fire departments and are cautioned to never go near a downed power line, even if they think it is no longer carrying electricity. Customers should not try to remove trees or tree limbs from power lines and should wait for utility crews to arrive.
