TROY, Mich., Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- John A. Anderson has been appointed to the inaugural Ascension Michigan Market Board of Trustees, effective July 1, 2015, for a 3-year term.  Mr. Anderson has also been appointed Chair of the Ascension Michigan Market Quality and Patient Safety Committee.  Ascension operates 13 hospitals in Michigan.

Mr. Anderson is the Co-Chair of the Health Care Practice Group at Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, P.C., representing health care providers ranging from large groups to individual physicians. He also represents Accountable Care Organizations, diagnostic providers, physical therapy providers, and home health agencies. He also has considerable experience as a business lawyer representing both middle-market clients and entrepreneurs, while a main focus of his practice is in health care law, primarily on the provider side.

Mr. Anderson also has considerable experience working with business clients and banks, particularly in relation to loan workouts, forbearance agreements and foreclosures, as well as the civil and bankruptcy litigation related to such workout matters.

Mr. Anderson's practice areas include all manner of business transactional and litigation matters, with an emphasis on banking and health care law, and the full spectrum of health care provider issues, including compliance matters, fraud and abuse, third-party audits, billing and reimbursement, Stark, Anti-kickback and licensing matters.
