CHARLESTON, W.Va., Nov. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Associates of Kroger Limited Partnership I, an affiliate of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), working at its Mid-Atlantic Division stores in the West Virginia area, have ratified a new labor agreement with United Food & Commercial Workers Union Local 400.
"We are pleased to reach an agreement that will provide our associates wage increases, high-quality affordable health care and a company-funded pension at retirement," said Jay Cummins, President, Mid-Atlantic Division.

The agreement covers 3,893 associates working in 41 stores. It includes Charleston, Morgantown, Clarksburg, Beckley, Huntington, and Parkersburg, WV; Proctorville, Belpre, and Marietta, OH; and Ashland, KY.
