McCune Law Group to Hold Press Conference on Alleged Discrimination Against Joe Baca Staffer on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 9:30am PST

ONTARIO, Calif., Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- McCune Law Group, a national consumer protection firm, has filed a civil suit on behalf of Sonja Pang, a former San Bernardino County district director who alleges discriminatory treatment and harassment at the hands of County Supervisor Joe Baca. Per the complaint, Ms. Pang not only suffered this treatment herself, but also saw it impact others. Her courageous attempts to protect fellow staffers from Mr. Baca's abuse, the complaint alleges, resulted in retaliatory action and, ultimately, her unlawful termination.

MLG will hold a press conference to discuss these allegations at the firm's Ontario office, located at 3281 East Guasti Road, Suite 100, Ontario, CA, on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. PST. Ms. Pang worked under Mr. Baca from late 2020 until her termination in February 2025, becoming Acting Chief of Staff in September 2022. The complaint states that she was promised a raise, but only in exchange for showing loyalty. According to the filing, this loyalty was tied to tolerating belittling comments, public berating, and retaliation against staff who spoke up.

"Mr. Baca's treatment of Ms. Pang and the other County staffers was not just unacceptable, it was unlawful," says Ms. Pang's attorney, Joe Richardson. "We also believe that Mr. Baca's tendency to treat female staffers is well known by the County.  We will hold Mr. Baca and the County fully accountable for these egregious injustices, which completely betray the values at the heart of the San Bernadino County community."
