Mill Steel Co. Appoints Seasoned Executive Joe Poot as Senior Vice President

Poot started his career with Mill Steel 18 years ago as Assistant Controller. Shortly thereafter, he advanced to Business Unit Controller. In 2002, he was promoted to Purchasing Manager where he further demonstrated his skill in market analysis, purchasing, business planning, and inventory risk management. Poot excelled quickly throughout his career, and continued to exemplify the excellent business acumen and leadership that elevated him to become a shareholder and Partner of Mill Steel in 2006.

Poot has been instrumental to Mill Steel's success and will continue to manage all of its construction business units. He has been a driving force in the company's geographic expansion, helping achieve double-digit growth year after year for the last decade and expand its footprint to six facilities. Most recently, he led the launch of Mill Steel's newest plant in Houston, while simultaneously tending to supplier relationships. It is that same personal touch and charisma that has earned him a prominent and credible reputation throughout the steel industry.
