LAS VEGAS, March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Miracle Flights, the nation's leading medical flight charity, coordinated a record number of February flights—523—for children and adults in need of out-of-state medical care. This comes as a substantial increase from February 2015's total of 337.
The nonprofit has been in operation for over 30 yrs., providing free commercial airline tickets so that seriously ill patients may receive specialized medical care and second opinions from experts throughout the U.S.
Mark E. Brown, CEO of Miracle Flights, attributes the increase to growing awareness throughout the community.
"The more people that know about us, the more families we're able to help. Every month we see an increase from last year's numbers, and I know that's a direct result of word-of-month. If you or anyone you know is in need of a Miracle Flight doesn't hesitate to contact us."
