Moroccanoil® And Marc Anthony Cosmetics, Inc. Settlement Agreement

NEW YORK, Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Moroccanoil^® group of companies ("Moroccanoil") and Marc Anthony Cosmetics, Inc. ("Marc Anthony") have resolved all disputes, which included litigation in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Federal Court of Canada, and proceedings in international trademark offices. Moroccanoil sued Marc Anthony for trademark and trade dress infringement, passing off and unfair competition in relation to Marc Anthony's Oil of Morocco argan oil products. Marc Anthony challenged Moroccanoil's trademark registrations in Canada, the United States and abroad. The disputes have been settled through a confidential global settlement. All proceedings between the parties will be discontinued. The parties have expressed satisfaction with the resolution, which they believe will protect their respective intellectual property, commercial interests and marketing goals.
