426 professional truck drivers, from all 50 states, will be in Minneapolis, Minn. for the National Truck Driving Championships, or otherwise known as the "Superbowl of Safety." Reporters will have the opportunity to see the competitors in action on the skills course, watch the competitors perform a pre-trip inspection, try their hand at a truck driving simulator, and talk with professional drivers about safety and what it takes to make it to the national competition.

On Friday, August 10th, reporters will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a big rig and experience first hand what skills are needed to navigate a truck driving championship style obstacle course. America's Road Team Captains, elite professional drivers with millions of accident free miles, will accompany reporters in the cab to assist with driving technique. |
