NCORE brings together social and cultural leaders to discuss race and ethnicity issues in higher education

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE), the most comprehensive national forum on race relations, equity and access on college campuses, is slated to take place May 27-31 in Indianapolis at the JW Marriott Indianapolis.

Soledad O'Brien, award-winning journalist, documentarian, news anchor and producer, will be one of the four featured keynote speakers at the 2014 conference. Also featured are Dr. Cheryl Crazy Bull (Sicangu Lakota), president and CEO of the American Indian College Fund; Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, host of the nationally syndicated television show "Our World with Black Enterprise" and associate professor of education at Teachers College at Columbia University; and Dr. Vandana Shiva, physicist, inter-disciplinary researcher in science, technology and environmental policy and founder of the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology.

NCORE serves as a vital national resource for higher education institutions. It provides more than 2,500 administrators, faculty, students and anyone interested in race, social justice challenges and access in American higher education who attend with the tools they need to affect positive change in the campuses they represent.

Conference participants will enjoy institutes, workshops, film screenings and special evening events. Early bird registration is $625 and is available until March 31. It covers all conference sessions and special events. Registration after March 31 is $725. Student registration is $425.
