NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Novus, the world's leading portfolio intelligence system for institutional investors, has been honored with a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award, recognizing the Best Places to Work in 2017. The Employees' Choice Awards program, now in its ninth year, relies solely on the input of employees, who elect to provide feedback on their jobs, work environments, and companies via Glassdoor®.
"Our people are the foundation of what makes Novus special," said Basil Qunibi, founder and CEO at Novus. "We invest heavily in our talent and give our employees the tools, resources, and the environment they need to grow and succeed. I'm proud and honored to work with my team each and every day—and grateful for their effort in helping Novus achieve this recognition."
"Company culture and the employee experience are critical considerations for job seekers everywhere when deciding where to work. To help, the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards recognize companies that truly stand out as Best Places to Work because they're purely determined by the authentic voice of those who really know a company best—the employees," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor CEO and co-founder. "Employers where employees love to work continue to prove that they have a recruiting and business performance edge. We're proud to celebrate the 2017 Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards winners in earning this incredible achievement."
The Best Places to Work are determined using company reviews shared by U.S.-based employees between November 2, 2015 and October 30, 2016. To be considered for the U.S. SMB category, a company must have less than 1,000 employees and have received at least 25 company reviews from U.S.-based employees during the period of eligibility. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor's proprietary algorithm, and takes into account quantity, quality, and consistency of reviews.
"Culture is very important to us at Novus—it's not about the free snacks and the ping pong tables. It's about getting to know each other on a personal level, building strong relationships with our teams, and developing our talent to the fullest extent. That's what people care most about and what motivates them," added Courtney Muller, Talent Manager at Novus.
